Music

Vanguard Education is centered around the learning of seven languages, two major and five minor. One of the minor languages is music. Music is indeed a form of communication.
Playing an instrument teaches hand coordination. Singing teaches control of the voice. When we sing or play with a group, we learn to work together, and in time with each other, to produce beautiful sounds. Music also exercises the powers and coordination of the brain.
Music is used worldwide in the worship of God. The two people needed to lead a worship service are the pastor and the worship leader. Sometimes in smaller churches the pastor is also the worship leader.
One of the things we share in common with people of our own culture is our music. Music connects us to the people of the past. This is one reason it is important to learn older hymns. It connects us to older Christians and to Christians around the world.

"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." - Ephesians 5:19.
